2022-2023 Dog Trainers Course
Adaptable Training Methods for Canines – Foundations for Trainers (ATM4K9’s)
You’re inspired to learn about dog training but overwhelmed by the conflicting information, many options of training methods and tools?
The reality is, there is no one way that works for all dogs. You must gain skills with a variety of techniques so you can adapt to each dog’s special needs.
ATM4K9’s incorporates tools from the most recognized methods and combines them to effectively transform dogs with various needs.
In the Foundations for Trainers course, we will explore forms of canine communication, application of various equipment and methods, operant and classical conditioning, marker training, remote collar training, enriched exploration, calming techniques, household skills, fitness & conditioning, K-9 sports, early development, puppy aptitude testing, researching breeders, search disciplines, behavior modification, types of aggression, beginning and marketing your business and customer relations.
You will have the opportunity to implement skills with hands-on application using personal and instructor provided dogs, and shadow days with Trina.
Classes begin November 3, 2022

Testimonials
A Canine Experience is the best place. My dogs and I are absolutely 100% satisfied when training there and taking the training home. The trainers take it step by step and are the most helpful in every way possible. I went through obedience training and ATM4K9s and now going through CGC testing to get my male to be registered as a service dog. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. All of employees at A Canine Experience are wonderful and I am grateful to receive training from them!!
Sincerely Josie Griffis

I had the wonderful opportunity to take Adaptable Training Methods for Canines with Trina in 2020. She shared a wealth of knowledge and experience in her foundational canine training course. I highly recommend any of her programs! Thanks Trina for a fun learning experience!

We wanted to find a trainer to help us with obedience training and also service dog training. And top that off with knowing GSDs. We hit the jackpot!! Not only that, they have deep knowledge on how to train and explain what they are doing and why. So it isn’t that they train him and you’re stuck at home not knowing what to do. We’re on our way with obedience, FitPaws, and scent work. So much fun for all of us. If you live nearby, I highly recommend that you come here! Our lives are so much happier because we have a great pup and we are fortunate to have great trainer!

Wholehearted would recommend A.C.E. Without hesitation. They took really great care of our dog Oakley (11 mo old) and did an amazing job training her. I know this was a difficult task as Oakley is an Airedale and terriers are notorious for being a bit difficult to train as they can be quite stubborn. We noticed a huge difference in her since doing the follow up training and at home after her 3 week board and train. We are so thankful to the trainers at A.C.E. because this has really made us feel so confident in our dog Oakley. It’s almost feels like we got a new dog, she does not pull on her leash, she is much more obedient, she’s learned a ton of new tricks, and overall a much better behaved dog. The biggest thing I want to mention is all the top notch owner training that A.C.E. provides. I had such a good experience with the post board/train training session that I can’t wait to do all of the follow up 1:1 and group training. 5 out of 5 stars!
Karin P. “Trina and her mom Nancy have been a wealth of information to help me with my rescue dogs who have a bad attitude. I have learned an enormous amount of information and training techniques to apply to my own dogs as well. We have also had Trina and Nancy at our dog clubs to give lectures.”

I had an evaluation appointment today at A Canine Experience. I was very impressed with the technique Trina taught me for how to teach my dog to walk better on a leash. She explained to me the reasoning behind her technique, and the various skills it teaches the dog. Her knowledge of dogs and how they learn was quite apparent through what she explained and showed me. I’m really excited to bring my dog back here, and to practice the walking technique with him! Also, Trina was really nice and I enjoyed working with her!

I went through several trainers and different training methods. Until I found these folks. They are great. Their day training program in conjunction with the private sessions is outstanding. Really have brought my GSD and I to the next level. Lesson learned: Dogs are so in-tune with their owner. It has a lot to do with training the owner (me) more than just teaching the dog. Take my advice, make sure YOU get trained. I do a private a session every two weeks on top of the day training. Their methods are solid.
Fantastic dog trainers and kennel! We boarded our 2 Belgian Malinois dogs and use a positive focused training method with both of them, utilizing e-collars as markers. The trainers had expert knowledge on the training method and actually gave us a lot of advice to improve our method. The pups came back happy and in very good health after 2 weeks of board and train. After having gone through several training classes and dog sports in the Seattle area, we’re convinced A Canine Experience is the best well rounded training location. The staff is polite and very knowledgeable. They clearly stay up to date on the latest training methods and are very experienced. On top of that, they have experience with working breeds and clearly gave our pups proper mental and physical stimulation (which is very difficult to do with such a high energy breed).
